Spreading for hundreds of miles from the mouth of the Oslofjord, Oslo is the largest city by area in Europe and is liberally covered in pristine forests rising up into the outlying hills. South of the unassuming city hall lies a vibrant waterfront known as Aker Brygge, which in summer is full of bustling outdoor restaurants and bars.
For the prettiest buildings head to affluent inner-city suburbs of Frogner and Fagerborg, or admire the traditional Scandinavian wooden houses of Bygdøy and Holmenkollen. Monumental buildings include the Royal Palace which runs daily tours and the Akershus Festning, which is a medieval castle that also served as a military base and provides impressive views of the Oslofjord. Oslo City Hall, or rådhus, offers even more distinctive architecture and it is the location of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
Nature is never far away in Oslo which is ringed by an archipelago of islands which are extremely popular in summer. Hiking, kayaking and sailing are all easily achievable within the city limits. Just as popular are the many museums. The national Museum houses Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream and Viking Ship Museum containing long-lost relics from Norway’s Viking past.
From downtown Sentrum to the Oslo Airport Gardermoen to the stunning statues in Frogner Park, Booking.com has over 80 hotels and other accommodations available.
Not the cleanest city in the world, but fine. People are not talkative and they are rather reserved, but they are trying to be helpful when needed. A lot of beautiful places to go, including parks, other 'nature' centres, restaurants. Great public transportation. People speak great English. Mind that everything is rather expensive. I would most certainly visit again.

Oslo is where you stay to go other places in Norway.
Oslo is where you stay to go other places in Norway. A few sights were closed, the rest were so-so. Lot of people watching in the area of Oslo Central station. Locals get out and enjoy a nice day. Pay the difference and stay near the central station, lot easier to get around, lot to do, most things walkable.

What a great city! I hope to come back again someday.
What a great city! I hope to come back again someday. Lovely people, lots of great walking areas. Excellent infrastructure for travellers (easy train transport from the airport to downtown); the tram was easy to take as a foreigner. Food was delicious everywhere we went. We were especially impressed with the Comfort Hotel Børsparken.

The only thing we did not like was the high standard of living which is good for norwegian but not good for a traveller from Central Europe :D
There are many fantastic museum which are worth to visit.
Super polite and gentle staff, fancy installations. But the best was the breakfast, it was the best in my life, seriously! They served variety of cheese like a beige goat one from Norway, also haring and raw salmon and caviar salmon, delicious! They had amazing pancakes, fruits, homemade smoothie and vitamin shot, yogurt, chia puddin, Vienna bread (sweet pastry with pecan nuts), good coffee and plant-based milk. After this we didn't even to try salmon in a restaurant and pay for that, completely worth it! Also good location.
The hotel was only a short walk from the station which runs straight from the airport! Staff were excellent and helpful. We stayed in a twin loft room and it was perfect and I even fit in the beds being 6ft 7!
Complimentary breakfast was amazing. The food selection was great and the staff couldn’t do enough for you! I do suggest getting in early tho as it can be busy.
Spa Facilities were beyond this world and definitely needed after exploring Oslo city center!
Loved it!!! a really perfect small room with super duper competitive price and the flavour and smell of 5 star hotel!! really had nothing less in comparison to a 4-5 star hotel! super clean, super essential and focused on the real things: perfect quality of bed, so nice sleeping quality, so low noice levels, so clean bathroom, cosy decorations, super nice lights perfectly thought to help you relax. people its gives way more that you will expect!
Really cool boutique hotel in a historic building. Great location in the heart of Oslo, but just far removed enough from the hustle and bustle of the city center. SUPER comfy bed in a unique yet stately room. Staff/service was tip top, in a pleasantly old fashioned way :)
Also nice restaurant/bar next door (I think they are affiliated with the hotel?) with a great wine list.
The woman I spent time with, her legs and everything in between them
Location of the hotel is perfect and quite cosy despite the lack of view. Everything is in close proximity to the city centre
Also the hotel has got it's own bar, and they make some really good drinks! We spent some time in the bar just chatting and enjoying a couple of drinks
The apartment is located near to Oslo Bus terminal & Oslo Sentral. Very strategic for tourists as the main city attractions is not far.
We love the view from our room. We were located at Building 31, Level 7. We have REMA 1000 (Norway convenience store) next to our apartment. Easy to find / purchase groceries.
I would recommend it to others.
I loved everything about this hotel! The room was clean, the décor made the room feel cozy, the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave. The bar was also nice. I could have stayed in my room for my entire stay. Thankfully, it is right in the city center so I could convince myself to get up and out.
It's just right for staying in Oslo while visiting my son and his partner. Great value for money and very comfortable. It's not a 5 star hotel but for what it is it's excellent.
Added to this, the location is ideal with a tram stop right outside the hotel. Very convenient to access most areas in Oslo
Location of the hotel was excellent, we traveled from the airport by train to the city center and the hotel was very close by and easy to find.
We stayed in a superior room and found it very spacious with good bathroom facilities.
Breakfast was excellent very good selection could not be faulted.
Excellent location, effective communication with personnel and hotel manager despite the fact that this is a smart hotel, very clean rooms, lots of towels, gym, sauna, warm rooms, spacious for a family of 3. Easy access to city center and museums. Also easy to order from your hotel.
The overall courtesies extended by the Hotel Staff were exceptional. Check-in was quick and the Staff's pleasant welcome was good. My Official events in Norway were in close proximity to the venues and that made it easy for me to attend my activities on time.
We liked the the great location of the hotel - central and very quiet. Easy to walk to almost every where in the city (Oslo, Norway) and also easy to find public transportation for longer trips.
We really enjoyed staying in a national monument in the best part of town, close to a lovely beach and the city center. It is a friendly home, not a hotel. There is parking space available.
The hotel is located near to the bus stop and Metro. Easily accessible to city center within few minutes.
The room is big and clean. Checkin process is via kiosk easy and fast.
Modern and comfortable hotel, very good location in Oslo city centre, great value for money. The breakfast was excellent as well. Most of the rooms are small, but comfortable.
